Historical Fairmount Apartments

Beam purchased the Historic Fairmount Hotel in 1999. Built in 1904 for the Lewis and Clark Exposition, the 40,000+ square feet building had fallen into disrepair before Beam undertook a complete renovation and refurbishment. Beam completed the rehabilitation of the Historic Fairmont in 2001. Beam focused on maintaining the historic integrity of the building throughout the rehabilitation process allowing for its placement on the National Register of Historic Places. Currently, the Historic Fairmont Apartments provide affordable rental housing in NW Portland with 80 units consisting of Studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.
