BROADWAY COMMERCE CENTER
44 West Broadway
Following the success of several redevelopment projects in Portland’s Central Eastside Industrial District and Old Town, Beam was invited by the City of Eugene to participate in the revitalization of Eugene’s Downtown core. Through a competitive RFP process, Beam was awarded two buildings and a public financing package from the City of Eugene’s urban renewal agency, which culminated in the redevelopment of the Broadway Commerce Center (BCC) and a repositioning of the Washburn Building. Formerly known as the McMoran & Washburn Department Store, the centrally located BCC is now home to several restaurants (Barn Light, Sizzle Pie and Killer Burger) on the ground floor and an array of creative office tenants on the upper floors including thriving software, digital media and architecture companies. Collectively, the redevelopment of these two properties has been integral to the renaissance of Downtown Eugene.
