THE GLOBE HOTEL

75 NW Couch Street

The renovation of the historic four-story Globe Hotel (ca.1895), a partnership between Beam and the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM), included a comprehensive renovation (interior and exterior) and build-to-suit tenant improvement. The project was funded through a combination of tax credits, PDC funds and conventional financing, and has since been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Centrally located in Portland’s Old Town/Chinatown neighborhood, the renovated Globe Hotel provides a vibrant and well-connected base for OCOM faculty and students to teach, learn and provide affordable health care.
